How You Can Help
Thank You for supporting survivors
Your gift today will support the thousands of individuals who seek help from domestic and sexual violence each year in Ottawa and Allegan Counties. You can prevent abuse by educating teens about healthy relationships to securing a safe place for survivors to live and thrive.
ways to give
Gifts of Cash
Gifts of Cash – Gifts of cash are immediate transfer of funds from you to Resilience and can be made via credit card or check.
Gifts Of Security
For more information, please contact Christina Scarpino, Director of Development at Resilience at 616-494-1756 or ChristinaS@Resiliencemi.org. A gift of securities can be a good option for accumulated stock that has appreciated in value and would be subject to capital gains tax if sold. These gifts are unique in that the donor can take a federal tax-deduction for the full, fair-market value of the stock, regardless of how much the donor paid for the stock. Not capital gains taxes apply.
Planned Gifts
A variety of planned gifts are available for donors who want to leave a legacy of philanthropy. Some of these gifts include life insurance, bequests, remainder trusts, and other annuities. There may be tax advantages through these types of gifts.
Qualified Charitable Distribution: The Legacy IRA Act, new federal legislation passed in December 2022, has expanded how IRA QCDs can be used and now allows individuals the opportunity to use an IRA QCD of up to $50,000 to fund a Charitable gift Annuity (CGA) or Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT).
