October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and empowering our communities to take action. Domestic violence affects millions of individuals across the U.S. every year, regardless of age, race, or background. It’s a serious issue, but together we can make a difference by getting involved and supporting survivors.

At Resilience, we are committed to providing free, confidential support to individuals in our community who are impacted by domestic and sexual violence. During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we invite you to join us in taking action, raising awareness, and standing with survivors.

Here are some key ways you can get involved this October:

Attend the Purple Party Fundraiser on October 10
Our 2nd Annual Purple Party is happening on Thursday, October 10 at The Little Red Barn in Nunica. This fun and impactful evening includes dinner, drinks, raffles, games, and a team trivia competition with prizes. All proceeds support our services for survivors. Join Us at the Together We Can Appreciation Awards Breakfast on October 16
On Wednesday, October 16 at Macatawa Golf Club, we’re joining the Lakeshore Alliance Against Domestic and Sexual Violence (LAADSV) and the Allegan County Coordinating Council on Domestic Violence (ACCCDV) to celebrate the community members making a difference in the fight against domestic and sexual violence.
