Resilience Fall Support Groups
Resilience: Advocates for Ending Violence is offering virtual support groups to provide survivors of domestic and sexual violence an opportunity to connect and share personal experiences and feelings, discuss coping strategies, and find comfort and support during an unprecedented time. Virtual support groups will be available via Zoom and will be led by Resilience Case Managers and Trauma Therapists. At this time, we will be offering four groups. Please click the links below to see the flyer with details including dates, times, and how to register.
- Virtual Domestic Violence Support Group (September 3 – October 22)
- Virtual Sexual Assault Support Group (September 1 – September 22)
- Virtual Raising Resilient Children Parenting Support Group (Begins September 16)
- 1-Day Survivor Workshop: Tips for Managing Stress, Trauma, and Triggers During a Pandemic (October 30)
Preregistration is necessary to receive a virtual link. Groups are accessible on a computer, tablet, or mobile phone. All of our services are confidential and as such, we will not record any of the support group sessions.
*Important note: There are potential risks to client information shared via virtual services, including abusive partners who intercept information or impersonate a survivor. If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, please let staff know. Resilience: Advocates for Ending Violence adheres to the confidentiality requirements set forth by Michigan law and the Violence Against Women Act to protect victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Resilience staff are unable to release client identifying personal information to anyone without a signed Resilience release giving staff permission to do so, with an exception for instances of risk of immediate harm or child abuse. Survivors are in the driver’s seat when it comes to their information and with whom, where, how long and how they would like it shared.
